Character Promotion Rules
Hirings and Promotions
This will be enforced under the sweeping pretense of Metagame.
- You can hire citizens into your faction at the starting 2 ranks. i.e Grenadier/Obergrenadier, Schutze/Oberschutze etc.
- You can promote someone 2 ranks once every 24 hours if they are an Enlisted or a Non-Commisioned officer.
- You can promote someone 1 rank once every 24 hours if they are a commissioned officer/general officer.
- Upon being fired/removed from your position you can acquire a new position around the same rank as your previous one only 24 hours from that event.
High-Ranking Character Restrictions
- This policy is rather simple. In an attempt to thwart users who purposely stack characters of high rank/position simply for bragging rights, a policy will be implemented which prevents such directly. As a hard limit, players will only be permitted ONE character of the rank of Colonel or above (Standartenführer+/Oberst+/Hauptdiensleiter+).
- The above policy should not affect many players. Those who attempt to ignore the above policy will have one of their Colonel+ characters subject to un-whitelisting, or in extreme cases, char-banning. You may not grandfather-clause your multiple GO characters through this policy.
FAQ
Q: What ranks can we whitelist people into factions at?
A: Only the bottom TWO ranks (I.E. Helfer/Anwärter/Mann/Grenadier, etc). The purpose of this is to create a penalty for getting PKed, as well as reduce the advantage for players who OOCly know the higher-ups in a faction.
Q: My faction only hires Unterscharführer+/Untersturmführer+, can we hire at those ranks?
A: In these cases, you will have to rely upon transfers from bottom-level departments, as such organizations would realistically, or to create bottom-level jobs of your own. A functional officer cadet system would, however, be accepted should one be properly established.
Q: I really need to hire person X for this leadership position, as my faction is empty and the gaps simply cannot be filled. What can I do?
A: Any Super Administrator may make exceptions to this policy on a case-per-case basis. Contact a Super Administrator to resolve the issue.
Q: Will deputies have to take over for their bosses? Does this mean I cannot be promoted unless the guy in the slot above me dies?
A: No. Rank jumps of around 2 ranks for instance are acceptable under the proper circumstances, given it isn't a repeated occurrence (the same individual receiving repeated 2 rank promotions will be punished). Individuals or deputies may be bypassed for promotion for a more suitable, and possibly slightly lower ranking, individual.
Q: I got fired from my job/resigned in the past, can I come back at the same rank in the future?
A: Yes, if you receive approval from a Super Administrator+ you can return at a high commission.
