Ministry of Justice

Introduction

The Ministry of Justice is one of the ten Federal Ministries which comprise the Imperial Chancellery. Headed by the Justice Minister, the ministry is responsible for overseeing the entire judicial framework of the empire, ensuring that laws are applied consistently and fairly across all levels of society. Its scope includes the administration of both civil and criminal trials, the development and maintenance of the empire's legal and penal codes, and the implementation of judicial reforms to align with the state’s evolving needs and policies.

The Military Courts, on the other hand, handle cases of military discipline, war crimes, and breaches of martial law, operating under a strict code of military justice. Organization of the Ministry

The Ministry of Justice comprises two State Secretaries, one responsible for supervising the judicial matters of the realm and the other for overseeing the affiliated courts, along with one General/Leading Anwalt. Within the ministry, you are able to get employed in the following positions:

Role in Imperial Germany
