What is the Imperial Chancellery?

The Imperial Chancellery is the government of the Empire. It comprises the Imperial Ministries (see What's the Federal Council?) as well as the office of the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor. The Imperial Chancellery is the faction closest to it's real-world counterpart, with its leadership consisting of the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor.

What's the Federal Council?

The Federal Council is the collection of every Minister with and without Portfolio, roughly analogous to a Cabinet in most countries. They meet fairly weekly to vote on legislation, usually called by the Vice-Chancellor.

Who runs the Federal Council / Imperial Chancellery?

At the highest echelon of the Chancellery is the Kaiser, but the day-to-day work of the Council and Chancellery are carried out by the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, and Ministers.

Ministries

Currently, there are ten ministries:

• Ministry of the Interior
• Ministry of War
• Ministry of Truth
• Ministry of Air Defense
• Ministry of Justice
• Ministry of Finance
• Ministry of Procurement
• Ministry of Agriculture
• Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Ministry of Science

In general, each one handles a distinct area of governance with relatively defined boundaries. Each Ministry is headed by a Minister, and their deputy called the Leading State Secretary.

The Small Council

The Small Council, also called the Emperor's Council, is a semi-government organization consisting of several plenipotentiaries and other officials. The offices of the Small Council are as follows:

• Hand of the Kaiser
• Plenipotentiary of Economics
• Plenipotentiary of Imperial Intelligence
• Plenipotentiary of War
• Plenipotentiary of Law
• Plenipotentiary of Naval Affairs
• Plenipotentiary of Civil Protection
• The Royal Physician
• Lord Commander of the Drachengruppe
