Egon Krohn (born 8 April 1910) was a German naval intelligence officer, former Sturmlegion officer, and senior NSB official. He served under Otto von Görlitz during the Second Great War, joined the NSB in 1952, and was later appointed Regional Director and General of the NSB in the American Imperial Protectorate on 10 October 1962.

Early Life and Education

Krohn was raised by his father, a fish farmer whose work inspired his early interest in aquatic life. Seeking to follow in his father’s footsteps, he studied rare fish in tropical regions, including the Galápagos Islands. He eventually abandoned these pursuits and enlisted in the Navy Reserves, beginning a military career that took him to Madagascar.

Career

During the Second Great War, which began in 1939, Krohn served as a captain and Chief Military Intelligence Officer under Otto von Görlitz aboard the SS Patriot. The vessel conducted bandit raids among scuttled ships along the African coast.

Following German and Japanese domination and the subsequent division of conquered territories between their empires, Krohn joined the Sturmlegion. The organization was responsible for purging the Emperor’s perceived enemies during peacetime. As an officer, Krohn was tasked with suppressing remaining anti-Empire sentiment throughout imperial territory.

In 1951, while operating in Kiel, Krohn was struck by an impact grenade during an attack by maritime partisans. His injuries prompted a change in his career, and he joined the NSB in 1952. He subsequently proved effective in his work in Berlin.

When the Emperor sought volunteers to join Görlitz’s administration in the American Imperial Protectorate, Krohn was selected to help direct the NSB’s operations there. On 10 October 1962, he was sent to the Protectorate and appointed Regional Director and General of the NSB. In this position, he was expected to establish a standard for the NSB’s German enforcers and strengthen imperial control within the Protectorate.
