The Director (German: ''Direktor'') of the American Bureau of Investigation (ABI) is the highest-ranking officer of the [[American Bureau of Investigation|ABI]]. Appointed by the [[Governor of New York]], the Director oversees all federal law enforcement and criminal investigations within the Protectorate.

- A member of the [[New York City Council]]

- May appoint officials to detect, investigate, and prosecute crimes against the Protectorate

- All agents of the ABI have qualified Immunity. The decisions of the Director are not subject to review by the civil courts.

- May employ Questioning Orders on citizens of the Protectorate for full cooperation with any pending investigation.

- May requsition personnel of the local municipal police forces for investigations or enforcement, however it is subject to appeal by the [[Governor of New York]]
