==Office of the Comptroller==
The Comptroller of New York is the Chief Financial Officer of New York. Appointed by the [[Mayor of New York City | Mayor]], the office holder is also the President of the New York Branch of the Imperial Bank. The Comptroller is integral to every branch of the government, as they produce and distribute the city's budget. They are responsible for general fiduciary duties, managements of property and business, and the health of the economy.

==History==
After the signing of the [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hwTiqP3c5TEba2FBehSPxbJkXpgog7MvV9EvdKaN87g/edit?usp=sharing Americas Treaty], the newly formed Congress of the Imperial American Protectorate passed the [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uM18OCt_pSVfeF0MQgXW1tQmpASiDThhvqMKPAL8QEY/edit?usp=sharing New York Home Rule Act]. This act established the [[New York City Council]] and, with it, the position of Comptroller of New York.
